When daddy plays with trains...

...the train table isn't big enough...they used every piece of track for this monstrous creation. Ayden was so excited, but Ken was getting annoyed because Ayden kept sitting on or stepping on part of the track, and then would try to "fix it" - which of course made things worse. It was good father-son bonding time and a lesson in patience for Ken

Ayden always talks a lot when we're in the car, so I tried to get video of it, but of course as soon as he saw the camera, he stopped talking. I got a couple words: cheese, mommy, and night night. But there are a few cute smiles in there - you can tell he's not camera shy!

A weekend with the animals

We spent the weekend in Los Banos and Turlock. On Friday, we went to the Stanislaus County Fair to see Gerret and Anneke's 4-H projects: a heifer for Gerret and two pigs for Anneke. On Saturday, we had a going away party for Sarah, John & the kids before they make the big move to TX. We'll miss them lots! While in LB, we got to eat at one of our favorite restaurants - Espanas...twice! Dinner on Friday and drinks on Saturday - gotta love those flour chips & salsa! On Sunday, we got to have lunch with the Cardenas family. It was great to see the twins out of the hospital - they are so cute! Ayden and Noah had fun playing at the park! (didn't get any pics though) It was quite an eventful, but fun weekend!!

While we were doing party prep, Ken took Ayden over to the dairy to check out more cows. Ayden wasn't quite sure what to think of the big cows, but he said, "cow, cow, cow" over and over.
