...while waiting to go potty. Yes, that's right, we're in full potty-training mode at our house. Fun stuff! Ayden got to pick out some underwear and was so excited to wear it on Sunday after his nap. He only had 2 accidents on Sunday afternoon! We weren't sure about how he'd do at school today, so he went in pull-ups. Well, he refused to even sit on the toilet at school. But, the first thing he said to me when I picked him up was "underwear mommy." So, as soon as we got home, he put them on and only had one accident all night! I think he's doing pretty good. It's not easy and it won't be fast, I'm sure, but at least we're starting somewhere. Anyway, here are some pics I took tonight:

The last week...

We had our second-to-last Little Gym class last weekend, and I remembered to bring my camera!

Then, he had to help daddy put together the new bookshelf/toy shelf. He got out all of his tools and loved trying to help!

Here are some belated preschool pictures. He is loving it! Of course, my ever-cooperative son wouldn't keep his backpack on for the picture, but I guess I should just be grateful that he's smiling and looking at the camera.

So Ayden started his new preschool this week (I haven't taken any pictures yet - I know, bad blogger). Every day I have left him screaming and crying in the arms of the teacher....Ugh! It's the hardest thing, but after a few minutes they said he was fine the rest of the day. It's going great otherwise - he's playing, reading books, doing projects - things were all good except being dropped off. Today - day 4 - we walked in, put his coat away, got his breakfast out, he started to whine, I gave him a hug and kiss, he sat down in the chair, and said "Bye, mommy" and started to eat. AHHH, it was such a relief!! I'm sure we'll have set-backs, but I'm glad the transition didn't take long! Maybe next week I'll remember to bring my camera!

Snow Day

On the way home from Reno, we stopped for Ayden to play in the snow for the first time. He wasn't sure what to think and we couldn't get him to sit down in it, but he caught on to the whole throwing snowball concept very quickly.

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve in Reno for my cousin Michelle's wedding. It was lots of fun with lots of family around. We enjoyed Michelle & Mark's ceremony and reception, then we went to dinner with the family. We didn't make it to midnight though....we're party poopers!
