Easter

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter Sunday!!  Hard to believe that this is our last holiday only having to worry about one kid!

After church, we went over to my mom's house.  We had beautiful weather and got to make use of their big backyard.  There was volleyball, badmitton, kickball, baseball, horseshoes, tetherball, and lots of family!

Ayden was the only kid (aside from Violet and some teenagers), so he hunted his plastic eggs.  I may have gone a little overboard.  Note to self: 32 eggs is way more than necessary!

I got to babysit my sweet niece, Violet for a few hours the other morning.  She was so good while her mommy and daddy went to the movies!  She's such a cutie-pie!

Spring Break!

It was Spring Break for both Ayden & I this week!  He went to school Monday and Tuesday (they were still open for day care), but we hung out at home the rest of the week. 

Ayden's only request was to have a day where we didn't have to go anywhere.  He has really become a home-body and complains when we have to run errands or go anywhere.  I, on the other hand had a lot to get done. I saved all of the things on my to do list around the house for Wednesday. He got to stay in his pajamas all day and be a couch potato (his words, not mine)!

On Thursday we had a fun day of errands, but we also managed to fit in a movie with friends Wyatt & Brandi and then McDonalds for lunch - playing on the playground for the boys, and some chatting for the moms!

I tried to fit in lots of fun things with Ayden since who knows if I'll be able to do all of our usual fun stuff this summer when I'm toting two kids around.

As far as the pregnancy, I am down to only four weeks left!  I'm pretty huge, I'm carrying all out front, which is very different than how I carried Ayden.  I get comments from strangers everywhere I go - about how big I am, how I must be ready to pop, asking if I'm having twins, etc.  That's getting a little old!  I only have two more weeks of work (and I am counting down those days!!!).  We have quite a few things on our to do list before we are ready to welcome our little girl.  Her room is almost finished, I will post pictures as soon as it's done!

March Birthdays

March is a busy Birthday month in our family!  My mom's birthday is the 13th - she and Frank, as well as Matthew, Dominique, and Violet came over for dinner to celebrate Mom's birthday!

We went out of St. Patrick's day for Dominique's birthday while Grandma babysat, but I didn't take any pictures.  We went out to dinner and to a club in Sacramento with a big group of friends.  We had lots of fun, but all of the young people made us feel very old....

Which leads us to Ken's birthday.  We had Matthew, Dominique, Violet, my Dad, & Jill over for a delicious dinner and dessert.

This black forest trifle is becoming a new tradition for his birthday - he requests it every year!

In preparation for T-Ball season, Ken took advantage of the still empty lots in our neighborhood for some practice.  Ayden is getting the hang of it!

We had our first experience with a Baseball Opening Day.  Ayden's team was lucky (?) to be chosen for the T-Ball game on opening day.  It was an early and busy morning for us getting all ready.

Due to a very wet month of March, many practices have been rained out, as well as two games.  Ayden is having lots of fun and learning quite a bit about baseball!

Comparison

 I knew this pregnancy would be different, but I can't believe how much bigger I am and differently I am carrying.  Yet, even though I feel huge, I have gained about half the weight as I had by this time when I was pregnant with Ayden.

This is last week @ 27 weeks with baby girl - still have 3 more months to go!
