Ken has been working on building the forms and getting everything ready to pour our patio for over a month. My brother can only help on Sundays because that's when he's off - wouldn't you know that the only rain we've gotten over the last month has been on Sundays. After being delayed by rain for a few weeks, they finally had two weeks in a row of (somewhat) decent weather and we now have a patio!! We took advantage of warm evenings and let Ayden play in the backyard - we even got the patio table out of the shed and ate dinner outside. It is so nice having a patio again!
The new cement had to be sprayed every night and Ken thought it would be a good idea to let Ayden do it.
Surprising, I know, but Ayden ended up soaked!
Since he was already wet, we set up the water table he got for his birthday. It's made for sand on one side and water on the other, but I don't see us ever wanting a backyard covered in mud, so we'll probably stick to one or the other.
